7 The boarding school of excellence/CPGE UNIT : OPENING SEPTEMBER 2012 It will house 74 first and second year boarders of excellence, from « lycées de Bellevue and Joseph Gaillard. » It is located in a quiet area in Fort-de-France, 7 minutes walk from 2 high schools (Joseph Gaillard and Bellevue), and from sports and cultural facilities.

8 4 bedrooms are available on the ground floor for disabled students 53 bedrooms for scholarship and socially disadvantaged students. In order to ensure social, cultural and linguistic diversity, 9 rooms are available for local students and 8 for international students, regardless of their social backgrounds. Local students will be selected among those who have demonstrated excellence and involvment in their work, civic responsibility and sense of citizenship during their high school years.

9 An individual pedagogical and educational coaching A pool of teachers, language assistants, coaches, and a headmaster is in a permanent contact with host schools and students to help start and successfully conduct professional projects.

15 1)High school seniors: a single gateway to higher studies: tick » training with boarding school of excellence » / girls and boys 2) Retrieve the student social file at the social welfare desk of your school or download it on the boarding school of excellence website of the academy of Martinique, …….complete it and return it on time to the social welfare desk. Your school will forward the file to the recruitment commitee in Martinique. 3) As soon as the admission to CPGE (preparatory classes to the grandes écoles) is declared, the nomination to the boarding school of excellence will be considered by the recruitment commitee and the result sent via mail during the day.

16 4) First year students: retrieve the file at the social welfare desk of your school or download it on the website of the academy. Complete and return it on time to the social welfare desk.The answer will be sent by mail. 5) The cost of rent is low and in accordance with the standards of the boarding school of excellence, about 270 euros a month. The details will be provided by the social welfare desk of your school.
