3 SC 35 Scope l Standardization in the field of interfaces between users (including people with special needs) and system, encompassing input and output devices in information technology environments, with the priority of meeting the JTC 1 requirements for cultural and linguistic adaptability. The standardization work on SC 35 includes the following areas: l Interfaces between users and devices, such as keyboards, mice, pointers, pens, visual displays, and forms of audio and tactile input/output with the emphasis on functionality. l Rules for system control by voice, vision, movement, gestures, etc. l Presentation techniques, graphical symbols, icons etc. l Dialogue control and navigation in interactions between humans and systems assistance and tutoring.
