2 En Bref: Le futur simple = “will” Formula: stem + endings Stem for regular verb = the infinitive Endings = the verb avoir (for the most part) “Shoe verbs” in the future = retain spelling change for all conjugations Irregular verbs= must memorize the irregular stems

3 Le futur 1.The future of regular verbs is formed by adding the appropriate endings to the infinitive of the verb. In the case of verbs ending in -re, the final -e is dropped before the future endings are added.
