L’expression ne…que En anglais, ne…que means only Exemples : I only see the elephant. Je ne vois que l’éléphant. I see the elephant only at the zoo. Je ne vois l’éléphant qu’au zoo. I see the elephant at the zoo only in the summer. Je ne vois l’éléphant au zoo qu’en été. NOTEZ: ne comes before the verb, but que comes before the word/phrase to which the restriction applies NOTEZ: du, de la, de l’, and des do NOT change to « de » after ne…que! Exemple : Je ne vois que des éléphants.
