2 * Listening / understanding P. 66 Act. 8 cd 3, Tr. 3 P. 68 Act.11 cd 3 Tr. 4 Changing Gear : Using the back of you construction paper, make up a menu to include breakfast (petit déjeuner, lunch (déjeuner), supper (diner). For help see page 89 (vocabulary)

3 Les courses / shopping * P. 68 Act. # 11, cd 3, Tr. 4 * Act. # 14 Vous en voulez combien? You’re buying food for Mme Lepic; with a partner, one play the seller, and the other the buyer. The buyer says: je voudrais payer des oeufs? The seller asks: combien en voulez vous? The buyer replies: je veux en prendre une une douzaine d’oeufs.

4 Faire les achats / shopping Buyer: je voudrais achéter les baguettes/ les poulets/ des pommes de terre… Seller: combien en voulez- vous? Buyer: je vais prendre quatre baguettes / deux poulets / un kilo des pommes de terre / un litre de lait… Then, witch role with your partner!

5 Panorama culturel What type of breakfast you take? P. 69, cd 3, Tr. 6, 7, 8. If you go to Mc Donald for breakfast, what type of food items would you eat? How different are your breakfast from the ones taken by young people in francophone countries?

6 Asking for, offering, accepting,… P. 70 Look at the menu of “ LE LION D’OR ” Read the menu items, then do act. # 16 ** Note cultuelle ** Vocabulaire: le repas Pour déjeuner, on commence par une entrée; ensuite on sert le plat principal suivi d’une salade verte. A la fin du repas on passe le plateau de fromages. Pour terminer, on prend un dessert ou un fruit.

7 To ask for food: Je pourrais avoir du pain, s’il vous plait (s’il te plait) May I have some…..please? Vous pouriez ( Tu pourrais) me passer du sel? Would you pass me…? To respond: Voilà. Here it is. Tenez (Tiens). Here it is.

8 To offer food or drink: Vous voulez ( Tu veux) de la salade? Encore du gâteau? Some more…? To accept: Oui, je veux bien. To refuse: Merci, ça va. Thank you, I have enough. Je n’ai plus faim/soif. I’m not hungry/Thirsty anymore.

9 To pay a compliment about food: C’est vraiment bon! This is very good! C’était délicieux! That was delicious! To respond: Ce n’est pas grand-chose. It’s not special. Merci, c’est gentil! ** Handouts** ** Exit Ticket **
