7 Hadrontherapy projects in EUROPE Protons 12 C HIMACChiba HIMAC at Chiba until 1994 1187 patients traités au C, 3 énergies : 290, 350 et 400 MeV/A Système de modulation du faisceau passif HIBMCHyogo HIBMC at Hyogo until 2001 140 patients traités 230 MeV (Protons) et 320 MeV/A (C) Système de modulation du faisceau passif Hadrontherapy in JAPAN

8 Ions ( 12 C) and protons  Therapy : 500 patients/year in a first phase 1000 patients/year in a second phase  Clinical Research  Fundamental research (radiobiology) The project of an Hadrontherapy Centre in Caen (Normandie)

9 The machine … ECR Ion Source :125  A 12 C 4+ RFQ 0.4 MeV/A Linear injector 7 MeV/A Synchrotron : 12 C 85 to 400 MeV/A protons 50 to 200 MeV protons 50 to 200 MeV … of course very similar to the other European projects … as CNAO !!
