Now, lets make this a little harder There are verbs that look like -er, -ir, -re verbs, but are not.
The first type we know already: -ger verbs Remember our verb manger? Je mange Nous Mangeons Tu manges Vous mangez il mange Ils mangent elle mange Elles mangent on mange
So, - ger verbs in the nous form add an e.
Well, we know that. What about -yer verbs. To get at this, how do we say to pay in French?
The Verb Payer (-yer verb) Je paie Nous payons Tu paies Vous payez il paie Ils paient elle paie Elles paient on paie
So, if it is a -yer verb, it changes from y to i in every subject but nous/ vous.
