Have students log on and open their writing assignments. Present slide show to review steps for editing their writing using PAGOV checklist.

Ask if anyone remembers the name of the checklist for ‘Donne-moi cinq.’

Check for understanding – Which ones look like English (mots-amis)? What do the others mean? Explain that we will review each step together. Ask for volunteers to share their assignment via LanSchool so that the class can edit the assignment together. Verbes Donne-moi cinq!

4 Ponctuation P C’est important!
Punctuation – Make sure all sentences start with a capital and end with a period, question mark, or exclamation point. Do you need commas? Quotation marks?

5 Accords A Les adjectifs Masculin? Féminin? Singulier? Pluriel?
Agreements – Discuss rules for adjective agreements. Ask class to think of a few examples.

6 Gendre G un / une / des le / la / les mon / ma/ mes ton / ta / tes
son / sa/ ses Gender - Remind class to check these carefully and to be consistent. Explain that they often use ‘la’ and ‘le’ for the same word within the same paragraph.

7 Orthographe O au mur de mots - dans un lexique - dans le dictionnaire
Spelling – Where can we look for words to see if we’ve spelled them correctly? (word wall; a lexique, if available; dictionary)

8 Verbes V AVOIR ÊTRE les verbes ER les terminaisons
Verb – avoir or être or ER verbs. Discuss a few expressions using AVOIR (J’ai faim etc…). Review pronouns and endings. Display a few assignments and edit together. Have students highlight any errors as we edit; they can make corrections later.
