2 Pré-STAR / Pre-STAR CRITÈRE D’ADMISSIBILITÉ / ELIGIBILITY: Écusson 3 réussi ou plus haut Passed stage 3 or higher Un maximum de 6 patineurs par entraîneur et 36 patineurs autorisés sur la glace. A maximum of 6 skaters per coach and 36 skaters maximum allowed.

3 Pré-STAR / Pre-STAR  Fait partie du programme Patinage Plus / Still part of the CanSkate program.  Les patineurs poursuivent leur apprentissage des habiletés et méritent des écussons. Skaters continue to learn skills and collect badges.  Cours de groupe / Group lessons.  Le casque est obligatoire jusqu’à l’obtention de l’écusson 5 / Helmet mandatory until badge 5 is passed.

4 Patinage STAR / STAR Skate Succès, Tests, Accomplissement, Reconnaissance – voilà en quoi consiste Patinage STAR!  Apprentissage des habiletés de patinage de base dans les disciplines de la danse sur glace, des habiletés de patinage, du style libre et du patinage d'interprétation.  Système de tests national uniformisés.  Écussons pour tests réussis et médailles pour la réussite des tests or  Compétitions invitation et interclubs, dont les Championnats de Patinage STAR. Skills, Tests, Achievement, Recognition – this is what STAR Skate is all about!  Learning and develop fundamental figure skating skills in the areas of ice dance, skating skills, free skate and interpretive skating.  Badges for completed tests and Gold Test medals.  Invitational and interclub competitions, including the STARSkate championship stream.

5 Patinage STAR / STAR Skate  Cours privés et semi-privés (2 patineurs par entraîneur)/ Private and semi-private lessons (2 skaters per coach).  Le patineur et ses parents choissisent leur entraîneur. La liste est disponible au bureau du Club et sur notre site Web. Le code d’éthique des entraîneurs interdit la sollicitation des parents / The skater and her (his) parents choose their coach. The list of coaches is available at our office and on our web site. Sollicitation is not permitted for coaches by their code of ethics.  À l’inscription, les frais de glace sont exigés et dépendent du nombre de sessions achetées par semaine. Le tarif des entraîneurs peut varier selon leur niveau et expérience. Les frais sont facturés au patineur et sont payés directement à l’entraîneur / Ice fees are paid at registration depending on the number of sessions bought per week. Coaches fees can vary depending on their level and experience. Coach fees are billed to the skater and paid directly to the coach.

8 Patinage STAR / STAR Skate Tests  Les tests ont lieu au club 3 fois par année / Club tests take place 3 times per year.  Les tests centralisés (tests sénior Argent et plus haut) ont lieu plusieurs fois par année / Centralised tests (Senior Silver and higher) are held several time per year.  Les patineurs qui désirent tenter un ou des tests doivent s’inscrire au bureau du club et en acquitter les frais (12$ par test ou partie de test ou danse) / Skaters wanting to try a or several test must register at the club’s office and pay the test fees (12$ per test or part of test or dance)  Des frais d’hospitalité sont parfois exigibles / Hospitality fees are sometimes asked for.  Les patineurs recoivent leurs écussons pout tests réussis lors de la soirée des Lauréats / Skaters receive their badges for completed test at the Laureate dinner. 9 Nouveau Patinage STAR / New STAR Skate  À partir de l’an prochain, le nouveau programme STAR entrera graduellement en vigeur / Starting next year, the new STAR program will gradually be put in place.  Les niveaux STAR 1-2-3-4-5 remplaceront les tests jusqu’à Junior Bronze. Puis les tests STAR 6-7-8-9 et OR / First the STAR 1-2-3-4-5 will replace the tests up to Junior Bronze. Than STAR 6-7-8-9 and Gold.  Le nouveau programme STAR s’alignera avec les competitions STAR / The new STAR program will be aligned with the STAR competitions.

10 Patinage STAR / STAR Skate Compétitions / Competitions  Les entraîneurs reçoivent les avis de compétitions et remettent le formulaire d’inscription aux patineurs ou à leurs parents./ Coaches receive the competition announcements and give the registration forms to the skaters and their parents.  Le parent complète le formulaire et le fait signer par le responsable des compétitions (Lynn Campbell). / The parent fills out the registration form and has it signed by the competition Chairperson (Lynn Campbell).  Le parent poste le formulaire avant la date limite d’inscription avec le paiement des frais qui varient d’une compétition à l’autre. / The parent mails the registration form before the deadline with the payment (fees can vary depending on the competition).  L’inscription à certaine compétitions peut se faire par internet. / Registration for certain competitions can be done by internet.

12 Patinage STAR / STAR Skate Compétitions / Competitions L’Annonces des Compétitions & Formulaires d'inscription / Competition Announcements & Registration Forms  L’annonce des compétitions et des formulaires supplémentaires sont affichée au club plusieurs semaines avant l’évènement./ The competition announcements and extra copies of the registration forms are posted outside the club office several weeks prior to the event.  Une liste des competitions est également publiée sur le babillard et le site web. / A list of all competitions for the current season is also posted on the competitions board outside the club office and placed on the club website.

13 Patinage STAR / STAR Skate Compétitions / Competitions Les resultats / The Results  Après la compétition, rapportez une copie des résultats au bureau du club a l’attention de Lynn Campbell pour les patineurs Star 4 et 5. / Within one week after the competition, bring back a copy of the results to the club’s office (attention Lynn Campbell) for Star 4 and 5.  Pour les patineurs dans la catégorie Star 1,2 et 3 ceci est une évaluation personnelle et on n'a pas besoin d'une copie de l'évaluation. / For skaters in the Star 1,2 and 3 category this is a personal evaluation and we do not need a copy.  Les résultats de STAR 4 et 5 seront publiés sur le site web et sur le babillard des competitions. / The results for Star 4 and 5 will be posted on the club website as well as on the competition board outside the club office.

14 Patinage STAR / STAR Skate Compétitions / Competitions L’Horaire de la compétition / Competition Schedule  L’horaire est publié environ 1 semaine avant la compétition sur le site du club hôte. / The competition schedule will be available approximately 1 week prior to the event on the website for the club hosting the event.  L’horaire fournira le jour et l’heure de la prestation. / The schedule will show the day and time that you are skating.  L’ordre de passage est disponible lors de l’évènement lui-même. / The order in which you are skating will be available when you arrive at the event.

15 Patinage STAR / STAR Skate Compétitions / Competitions Arrivée à l’évènement/ Arrival at the Event -Vous devriez arriver 1 heure avant l’heure prevue. / You should arrive at least one hour prior to your scheduled event. -Ne pas oublier l’habit, les patins, des souliers de course et 2 copies de la musique sur CD (STAR 4-5). / Remember to bring your outfit, skates, running shoes and 2 copies of your CD’s (for Star 4 and 5 skaters). -Se render à la table d’inscription dès l’arrivée et donner les CDs de musique (STAR 4-5) à la tabled'inscription. / When you arrive you need to check in and hand in your music (Star 4 and 5 skaters) at the registration desk. -On assignera un vestiaire pour chaque évènement. / You will be assigned a dressing room for your event.

16 Patinage STAR / STAR Skate Compétitions / Competitions Arrivée à l’évènement/ Arrival at the Event : -Il y aura du temps pour s’échauffer. / You will have time to warm up (off ice). -L’entraineur reste avec le patineur durant cette période. / You coach will be with you during this time and for the warm up on the ice.

17 Patinage STAR / STAR Skate Compétitions / Competitions L'événement / The Event :  Le réchauffement sur la glace donne l’opportunité de s’échauffer et de pratiquer certains éléments. / You will have the opportunity to skate around the ice, warm up and practice some of your elements.  Ce réchauffement n’est pas évalué par les juges. / The judges will not be judging your activities during this period.  L’annonceur dira quand l’évènement commence. / The announcer will tell you when the event will start.  Ayez du plaisir et profitez de l’évènement ! / Have fun and enjoy the event !

18 Patinage STAR / STAR Skate Compétitions / Competitions Les résultats (Star 1, 2 & 3) / The Results (Star 1, 2 & 3)  Il peut s’écouler 30-60minutes pour que les résultats soient affichés et recevoir les évaluations. / It can take between 30 to 60 minutes to post the results and receive the evaluations.  Les patineurs STAR 1-2-3 sont évalués et reçoivent une évaluation et un ruban basé sur leur performance. / The STAR 1, 2 and 3 skaters are evaluated and receive a report card and ribbon based on their performance.  Le niveau de chaque élément est évalué et reçoit une note or, argent, bronze ou mérite de même qu’une évaluation générale. / Each element that they perform receives an assessment of gold, silver, bronze or merit as well as an overall evaluation.  Aucun résultats n’est affiché comme il s’agit d’une évalution personnalisée. / No results are posted as this is a personal evaluation. -

19 Patinage STAR / STAR Skate Compétitions / Competitions Les résultats (Star 4 & 5) / The Results (Star 4 & 5)  Les patineurs STAR 4-5 recevront un bulletin. Les premiers recevront un ruban (STAR 4) ou une médaille pour Star 5. / For Star 4 and 5, each skater receives a report card with top finishers receiving either a ribbon or medal for Star 4 and a medal for Star 5.  Les patineurs STAR 4-5 reprennent leur musique à la table d’inscription et reçoivent copie de leur évaluation. / The STAR 4 and 5 skaters will need to pick up their music at the registration desk. They will also receive an envelope with a copy of their detailed results.

20 Patinage STAR / STAR Skate Compétitions / Competitions Médailles Medals (Star 4-5)  Les remises ont lieu régulièrement durant la compétition. / There are award ceremonies scheduled periodically during the competition to award these medals.  Les patineurs doivent surveiller à quell moment elle a lieu. / Skaters will need to check to see the timing of the award ceremony.
