General philosophy: trying to use the existing standards, protocols and tools (PDS, IVOA, SPASE, …) From the resource provider side: A major aim: to publish resources in IDIS must remains as easy as possible, requiring a moderated effort for the data provider From the user side: A major aim: to implement access to IDIS must remains as easy as possible
