A BOUT FAIRE Faire means to do or to make. It is one of the four main verbs in French ( the others are être, avoir and aller ). Faire is often found in idiomatic expressions… expressions that dont always mean what they say). Referring to sports, faire is used to talk about individual sports or activities (ex: faire du vélo ) rather than team sports (ex: jouer au softball).
