What is the present tense? Something happening right now, aka MAINTENANT! It is a conjugated verb. There is only one or two verbs – Example with one verb: Je parle français. Il fait du jogging. – Example with two verbs: Tu veux acheter une voiture. Nous devons faire les devoirs.
Imperative (present tense) What is the imperative? Command Directions Suggestion Advice Formation of the imperative: What subjects are used? Tu Vous Nous (for suggestions, you can’t boss yourself around) No subject, you understood Drop the s for ER verbs in the TU form. – Example: Ecoute! Danse! Examples: – Etudie ce soir! Prends un café. – Etudiez ce soir! Prenez un café. – Allons-y! Prenons un café.
