Time: Subtracting From the Next Hour Moins=minus To say it’s a few minutes before the hour use the next hour +moins+ the amount of minutes before the next hour. Example: Il est dix heures moins cinq. It’s 9:55.

Examples of Subtracting minutes Il est cinq heures moins sept. It’s 4:53 Il est trois heures moins quatre. It’s 2:46 Il est quatre heures moins trois. It’s 3:57

Practicing Times It’s 7:30 Il est sept heures et demi. It’s 10:10. Il est dix heures dix. It’s 10:54 Il est onze heures moins six.

Practicing Times It’s 7:15. Il est sept heures et quart. It’s 8:45. Il est neuf heures moins le quart. It’s 6:25 Il est six heures vingt-cinq.

Hundreds 200=deux cents 300= trois cents 400=quatre cents 500=cinq cents 600=six cents 700=sept cents 800=huit cents 900=neuf cents 1,000=mille

Hundreds+ 101= cent un 102= cent deux 201= deux cent un 202= deux cent deux NOTICE: when writing just hundreds there’s an “s” at the end however when writing hundreds plus ones the “s” disappears. Example: 200=deux cents However: 205= deux cent cinq( the “s” is gone)
