Fig. 2. The observer marked the intersections of the radial line on the lid margin edge, and the software automatically calculated radial midpupil lid distance lengths. The medial and lateral canthal ends were also marked, and angles and midpupil lid distances were measured at these points.
Résultats Diminution avec âge distance midpupil-lid toutes directions Stat significative 90°= différence – importante Augmentation progressive nasal et temporal
Fig. 3. In male subjects, right eye midpupil lid distances gradually decreased with aging at all angles. The greatest decrease was at 0 and 180 degrees.
Fig. 4. In female subjects, the decrease in right eye midpupil lid distances was greater than for male subjects. There were remarkable decreases in the temporal sectors of the lid fissure.
Fig. 6. The upper eyelid contour of the right eye was drawn using midpupil lid distances at 0 to 180 degrees and additional midpupil lid distances at the medial and lateral canthal ends in female subjects. The decreases in the temporal sectors of the lid fissure, including the lateral canthal end below 180 degrees, were larger than the decreases in the nasal sectors. Canthal tilt showed no significant differences between age groups.
Fig. 7. There is a gradual decrease in midpupil lid distances with aging. (Above) In male subjects, there is a remarkable change when those in their 70s (above, right) are compared with the youthful eyelids of those in their in 20s (above, left) and 40s (above, center). The greatest decrease in midpupil lid distances with aging was at 0 and 180 degrees. (Below) In female subjects, the decrease of midpupil lid distances was greater than for male subjects with aging. There were remarkable decreases of midpupil lid distances at all angles in those in their 70s (below, right) compared with those in their 20s (below, left) and 40s (below, center).
Conclusion Chez l’asiatique rebord palpébral = forme arche + haute en secteur temporal que nasal Avec âge diminution de hauteur dans tous les axes mais plus marqué en temporale surtout chez la femme
