LE FUTUR Muckross Park College

WHAT DOES IT MEAN? It means how to translate « will » or « won’t »

HOW DO I DO IT? First, take the full form of the verb: Regarder - Parler- Finir- Prendr- (if the verb finishes with « re », take off the « e »)

OK, WHAT DO I DO NEXT? Then, add the right endings: Je (I) – ai Tu (you) – as Il/elle (he/she) – a Nous (we) – ons Vous (you) – ez Ils/elles (they) - ont

THIS IS WHAT YOU GET Je parler - ai – I will speak/ Tu finir - as – You will finish Il jouer - a – he will play

CAN YOU DO IT? Nous rester - Ils attendr - Vous partir - J’écouter - Il travailler - ons ont ez ai a

C’est facile, non?!!

EXCEPTIONS You didn’t really think it would be that easy, did you?!

SOME VERBS DON’T FOLLOW THE RULES Aller Avoir Devoir Être Faire Vouloir Voir Venir Pouvoir Ir - Aur – Devr- Ser – Fer – Voudr – Verr – Viendr – Pourr-

But the endings remain the same
