Offrir = to offer (like ouvrir, this verb is also irregular because it is conjugated like a regular –er verb in the present, but ends in -ir) j’ offre nous offrons tu offres vous offrez il/elle/on offre ils/elles offrent Passé composé : avoir + offert

Le conditionnel In English, the conditional expresses what you would do or what would happen under certain circumstances.

To form the conditional of regular –er and –ir verbs, add the imperfect ending to the infinitive. je tu il/elle/on nous vous ils/elles parler réussir parlerais réussirais parlerais réussirais parlerait réussirait parlerions réussirions parleriez réussiriez parleraient réussiraient

To form the conditional for regular –re verbs, do the same thing, EXCEPT drop the –e from the infinitive. je tu il/elle/on nous vous ils/elles attendre attendrais attendrais attendrait attendrions attendriez attendraient

Verbs with irregular stems in the conditional (the endings follow the pattern): Aller  ir- Avoir  aur- Être  ser- Faire  fer- Devoir  devr- Pouvoir  pourr- Savoir  saur- Venir  viendr- Vouloir  voudr-

Il y a  Il y aurait Il faut  Il faudrait Il pleut  Il pleuvrait Il y aurait trop de circulation a cette heure-là. (There would be too much traffic at that time.)
