What will the students learn? At the end of this class, the students should be able to identify some general information about Haiti.

Haïti fait partie d’une île parce qu’elle est entourée de l’océan. L’ île s’appelle HISPANIOLA. Sur l’ île, il y a 2 pays: Haïti et la République Dominicaine. En Haïti, on parle le français et le créole, mais, en République Dominicaine, on parle l’espagnol.

La capitale de la République Dominicaine est SAINT-DOMINGUE.

Il y a d’autres îles à côté d’ Haïti comme Cuba, Jamaïque et Porto-Rico.

La capitale d’ Haïti est Port-au-Prince.

Haïti est divisé en départements. Il y en a 10.

Nous habitons dans le département de l’Ouest. La capitale du département de l’Ouest est Port-au-Prince.
