Grade descriptions for speaking Grade F ‘ Candidate take part in simple conversations showing ability to substitute words and phrases. Their pronunciation is generally accurate, and although there may be grammatical inaccuracies, the main points are communicated.’ Grade C ‘Candidates develop conversations and simple discussions which include past, present and future events, involving the use of different tenses. They express personal opinions and show an ability to deal with some unpredictable elements. Although there may be some errors, they convey a clear message, and their pronunciation and intonation are generally accurate.’

List a few things in your town but not every single building. You need to know what you are going to say beforehand if you were asked that question. Don’t forget opinions! Keep your sentences short but carefully and accurately structured.
