5th Quality Conference (5 QC)
5 QC The conference will be held at the CNIT centre in Paris from 20 to 22 October 2008. Some 1,500 participants are expected, including many high-profile figures Spotlight on examples of best practices from Member States Study on the co-production of public services Review of progress made with public service quality The guidelines on preparations for 6 QC (2010) will be finalised during the French Presidency based on the outcome of the previous conferences and especially 5 QC

Innovative public services Group IPSG Total quality management Organisation of the 5th Quality Conference Development of CAF Implementation of the 2007-2008 CAF Action Plan Definition of the 2009-2010 Action Plan Customer Satisfaction Management Definition of a common European approach to customer satisfaction management in the public administrations The two IPSG meetings will be rounded out by three meetings of experts (QC, CAF and CSM)
e-Government (eGov WG) Continuity of the MTP on the development of user centric services Steering and evaluation of actions decided on by the ministers in Lisbon in 2007 under the European eGovernment strategy (i2010 Action Plan). Launching the reflection for the post i2010 programme. Themes for the group meetings: Support the implementation within Member States of the decisions made by the European Ministers in Lisbon Continue the Learning Team work on the use of ICTs to reduce the administrative burden for citizens Foster the development and promotion of best practices within the EU.
Network of Directors of Institutes and Schools of Public Administration in the EU (DISPA) 4 work focuses: The civil service and training of high-ranking public officials: balance between initial training and in-service training Educate high-ranking public officials on Europe: development of teaching tools on Europe Foster the mutual understanding of high-ranking public officials working on EU matters: possibility of joint training for high-ranking public officials in the Member States and European institutions Training supply and international demand: promotion of the European administrative training supply on the international scene and comparison with the extra-European higher education supply
Optimise knowledge management in EUPAN Continuity of work undertaken during the Portuguese and Slovenian Presidencies Conduct a study and set up a learning team Goal: improve the use and circulation of the EUPAN network's production and expertise
