(verifiable – C’est vrai ou c’est faux) Subjective (subjonctif): It’s important that you be on time. Il est important que tu sois à l’heure. (What is important to one person may not be important to another. The statement may change according to the speaker’s viewpoint.)

Others are exiger, désirer, préférer, accepter, aimer mieux. English: I want him to come. French: Je veux qu’il vienne. Vouloir requires a clause to follow in French, but an infinitive in English. We want him to understand. Nous voulons qu’il comprenne.
