Page 163 Elan Page 129 Elan 2. Rappel ! Les verbes conjugués avec ‘être’ s’accordent généralement avec le SUJET. Mais : Les verbes conjugués avec ‘avoir’ ne s’accordent pas avec le sujet. Ils s’accordent avec un complément d’objet direct /preceding direct object (quand il y en a !) Donc il faut savoir si le complément d’objet direct est masculin/féminin et au singulier/pluriel.

10 A. Voir, regarder, entendre, écouter, sentir, laisser Voici deux phrases avec des accords différents: C’est bien ma maison. Je l’ai vu bâtir C’est bien Mme Chirac. Je l’ai vue chanter. POURQUOI Y A-T-IL DES ACCORDS DIFFÉRENTS ? Dans la première phrase, “l’” précède le verbe, mais est l’objet du verbe ‘bâtir’, pas du verbe ‘voir’. (En anglais – the house is being built, not building) Dans la deuxième phrase, “l’” précède le verbe, mais est l’objet du verbe ‘voir’, pas du verbe ‘chanter’ (En anglais – Mme Chirac is singing, not being sung) L ’ accord du participe passé suivi d ’ un infinitif

11 BCroire, pouvoir, vouloir, faire. Heureusement, bien plus facile ! Le participe passé est invariable avec croire, pouvoir, vouloir. Avec ‘faire’, le participe passé est invariable quand ‘faire’ veut dire ‘to make/to get someone do something’. EXEMPLES C’est Mme Chirac qu’il a cru entendre Comparez : C’est Mme Chirac qu’il a crue C’est Mme Chirac qu’il a voulu entendre Comparez : C’est Mme Chirac qu’il a voulue !!! C’est Mme Chirac qu’il a fait venir Comparez : C’est une erreur qu’il a faite

12 CCourir, co û ter, demeurer, dormir, durer, peser, valoir, vivre Avec ces verbes, il faut analyser la signification !!!! Si la signification est littérale et spécifique, le participe passé est invariable. Si le sens est figuré, le participe passé s’accorde avec le complément d’objet direct. FAC (Figuré - ACcord) ou FAG (Figurative -AGreement)
