Les objectifs: To refresh how we form and use the imperfect Remind you / introduce you to the conditional tense

Dabord, limparfait... Limparfait is used to describe an ongoing event in the past: I used to live in France, … It was sunny, … When I was younger,... by contrast, the passé composé is used to talk about events / specific actions.

Mixing the tenses for maximum effect. The imparfait is also used to describe something that was going on in the past when another event or action (in the passé composé) interrupted it. I was reading my book when the doorbell rang. He was walking down the street when lightning struck.

And how do we make this up? Je mangerais beaucoup de chocolat. Nous aurions une grande maison moderne. Il y aurait un grand garage pour ma collection des voitures de sport, ça veut dire mes Ferrari Ma maison idéale aurait un cinéma et donc je pourrais regarder mes films préférés tous les jours. La maison serait très belle, moderne et confortable. Si jétais très riche, jhabiterais près de la mer et jirais à la plage et je ferais de la planche à voile. Si je gagnais beaucoup dargent, je donnerais un palais à mes parents.
