3 Objectives To use reading skills to help to understand a text about an unfamiliar topic To think about the differences between school life now and in the past To use dictionaries to identify the meanings of key words about school life and to decide if the words apply to the past or the present.

4 Nicolas est un petit garçon qui habite en France pendant les années soixantes. Il habite avec ses parents. Son père travaille dans un bureau et sa mère est femme au foyer. Son père est marrant mais il se dispute souvent avec le voisin, Monsieur Blédurt. Sa mère est sympa et gentille. Nicolas va au collège avec ses amis; Alceste, Joachim, Eudes, Rufus, Geoffroy, Clotaire et Maixent. Alceste est très gourmand. Geoffroy est très riche. Eudes est très fort. Rufus est le fils dun policier mais il est assez vilain. Personne naime Agnan parce quil est trop sage! Sa vie est assez différente que la tienne
