French Conditional Mood - Conditionnel Conjugations Singular Plural
1st person je- ais nous- ions 2nd person tu- ais vous- iez 3rd person il- ait ils- aient The conditional is formed with the same roots as the futur tense ( the infinitive + conditional endings. It is a mood that describes possibility. The english equivalent of “would” sometimes “should” , “could” Je ferais mes devoirs , si j’avais le temps. It is also used as the polite and formal way to express oneself in French. Je prendrais un bon verre de lait maintenant.
