Supporting the development of a European Bioeconomy 4 Comprend deux sous-domaines, situés respectivement en "Amont" et en "Aval" des activités mises en oeuvre par la BBI-JU* : Sécuriser l'approvisionnement en Biomasse pour des produits et services bio-sourcés: diversifier-augmenter productivité-qualité de biomasse (forêt, agriculture, terres marginales, mer) en évitant la dégradation des écosystèmes (sol, eau, biodiversité). Construire les marchés bio-sourcés du futur en mobilisant l'engagement des parties-prenantes: considérations environnement, santé, éthiques influencent choix des consommateurs ; identifier les intérêts, aspirations, risques perçus, et maximiser les avantages des nouveaux modèles économiques bio-sourcés au sein de la société Liens avec d'autres défis/parties d'Horizon 2020: SC3, énergie ; SC5, climat-environnement, SC6, Société inclusive... Biotechnologies de pointe comme futurs moteurs d'innovation permettre industrie européenne rester au premier rang de l'innovation, développer outils émergents (biologie synthétique, bioinformatique, biologie systémique, bionanotechnologies, bioélectronique). transférer dans de nouvelles applications (administration de médicaments, biocapteurs, biomicroprocesseurs, etc.). Les processus industriels basés sur les biotechnologies industrie européenne : développer de nouveaux produits et processus exploitant le potentiel des biotechs : voies enzymatiques, métaboliques, conception de bioprocédés, fermentation avancée, microbiologie...
