1.4. HEALTH : Stem cells for kidney regeneration. Collaborative project (Small or medium-scale focused research project) Programme de Travail Research should focus on identification and expansion of stem cells that could be used in stem cell therapy and tissue engineering approaches for recovery of kidney function. Research should aim to establish whether or not stem cell therapy might offer an alternative approach to organ transplantation for patients suffering from kidney failure.
