2 Le passé composé is used to describe activities that have already happened. Utilisez le passé composé avec les mots comme… hier Le passé composé can be used to describe anything that has happened in the past. Hier, David a sorti la poubelle.

3 Le passé composé is made up of deux verbs. The first verb, avoir, is ALWAYS conjugated for the subject! The second verb is in the past participle form. What is a past participle? Walk walked Speak spoke Finish finished Grow grew le participe passé

4 Pour former le participe passé… er verbs: drop the er and add é at the end Parler parlé (talked/ spoke) Manger mangé (ate) Marcher marché (walked) Laver lavé (washed)
