11 Le jeu du béret How to play the game
This is a traditional French PE/playground game. Organise children in 2 teams of equal numbers, facing each other in 2 lines A béret (traditionally) or any object or flashcard is put in the middle The teacher gives a number in French to each team member (the same numbers from 1 to …. are given to each team)* All pupils line up (randomly, ie, not in the order of the given numbers). The teacher calls out a number. The corresponding numbers on each team rush to try and grab the beret/object/flashcard in the middle. The fastest to grab it and get back to his/her place wins a point for their team Continue until all numbers have been called. The team with the more objects/cards wins.
