SWBAT conjugate reflexive verbs in the present/past tense.

3 Review: Let’s first review our er verb endings: Je . . . e Tu . . . es
Il/elle e Nous ons Vous ez Ils/ elles ent

4 What do I do with the « se »?
We are going to try to conjugate the verb s’habiller First, forget the « se » is there, put on your er verb endings Je habille Nous habillons tu habilles Vous habillez il habille Ils habillent

5 Now that we have this, let’s add in our « se »
for Je, « se » becomes « me » Je me habille for Tu, « se » becomes « te » Tu te habilles for il/ elle, se stays the same il se habille

6 The rest for nous, se becomes nous Nous nous habillons
for vous, se becomes vous vous vous habillez for ils/elles, se becomes se Ils se habillent

7 To put it in the past Write these on the side of your paper je suis
tu es il est nous sommes vous êtes ils sont

8 In order to put this in the past, let’s put in our past endings
ir -i So for S’amuser, je amusé tu amusé and so on

9 Now, let’s put in our reflexive
je m’amusé tu t’amusé il s’amusé nous nous amusé vous vous amusé ils se amusé

10 Next, let’s add in the verb être
je me suis amusé tu te es amusé il se est amusé nous nous sommes amusé vous vous êtes amusé ils se sont amusé

11 If you are talking about
a girl, put an extra e on the end more than one thing, put an s on the end

12 Making it negative Your ne goes in the same place as before, your other negative does as well Je ne me suis pas amusé (e) Tu ne te es pas amusé il ne se est pas amusé nous ne nous sommes pas amusé (s) vous ne vous êtes pas amusé ils ne se sont pas amusés
