3 Person (3) in singular and plural (number)
Singular: Plural: 1. I (je) We (nous) 2. you (tu) you all (vous) 3. he, she, it (il, elle,on) they (ils, elles)

4 Tense: present, perfect, future

5 We will learn the present tense today:
English translation could be 3 ways: verb, is verbing or does verb French has only 1 form

6 In French we have regular and irregular verbs
We learned 2 irregular verbs so far ȆTRE=TO BE AVOIR= TO HAVE SINGULAR 1. Je suis J’ai 2. Tu es tu as 3. Il, elle, on est il, elle, on a PLURAL 1. Nous sommes Nous avons 2. Vous êtes vous avez 3. Ils, elles, sont ils, elles ont

There are 3 groups of French verbs whose infinitives end on: 1. – er aimer, parler, regarder 2. – ir choisir, punir, finir 3. – re vendre, perdre, attendre

SINGULAR PLURAL JE PARL E NOUS PARL ONS 2. TU PARL ES VOUS PARL EZ 3. IL, ELLE, ON PARL E ILS, ELLES PARL ENT

9 2ND group: FINIR stem is FIN
SINGULAR PLURAL JE FIN IS NOUS FIN ISSONS 2. TU FIN IS VOUS FIN ISSEZ 3. IL, ELLE, ON FIN IT ILS, ELLES FIN ISSENT
