4 2011 One RPL reference in Academic calendar.
Students can request RPL. Requests will be studied by the Admissions Committee.

5 2014 New RPL regulations for college level programs:
Students can complete 2/3 of a college program in RPL. RPL will be indicated on transcript in letters EX: RAC Some courses may be excluded from the RPL process.

6 2016 New RPL system being developed: Internal procedures and processes

10 identifying core competencies
Course objectives need to be changed into competencies. Example of a core competency for Psychomotor Development course: Integrate psychomotor development activities for children (birth to 12 years) in ECE settings Elements of competency: Explain psychomotor development. Examples: general motor skills, fine motor skills, body awareness, laterality, spatial and temporal awareness. Describe materials used to stimulate psychomotor development. Describe 5 activities to foster psychomotor development for children. (0 to 18 months; 18 months to 3 years; 3 to 5 years; 5 to 6 year; and 6 to 12 years).

FICHE DESCRIPTIVE - AUTOÉVALUATION Cours : EPE Éducation psychomotrice (45h) Information sur la compétence : Intégrer des activités psychomotrices au programme éducatif des enfants en milieu de garde. Description de la compétence Initier l’étudiant à divers aspects du développement psychomoteur des enfants de la naissance à l’âge de 12 ans. Je suis capable J’ai besoin de précisions Oui En partie Non Décrire le développement psychomoteur chez l’enfant. Exemples : motricité globale, motricité fine, schéma corporel, latéralité, organisation spatiale et temporelle. Expliquer le matériel à utiliser pour favoriser une activité stimulante. Décrire cinq (5) activités pédagogiques initiées par l’éducateur pour favoriser le développement psychomoteur de l’enfant en milieu de garde en utilisant les composantes du développement psychomoteur pour des enfants d’un (1) groupe d’âge (0 à 18 mois; 18 mois à 3 ans; 3 à 5 ans; 5 à 6 ans et 6 à 12 ans) avec lequel vous êtes familiers.

12 Defining Evaluation criteria
Students receive a document indicating: How they will be evaluated (written paper, interview, demonstration, portfolio, simulation, etc.) What evaluation criteria will be used How much weight is given to each evaluation criteria How much time is allotted for the interview. Etc.

13 Documents given to students before evaluation
Templates can be given to students to help them do their written work. Books or other reference materials can be suggested: Example. Lauzon, F. L’éducation psychomotrice : source d’autonomie et de dynamisme, Presses de l’Université du Québec, 2001

15 Evaluation document This document is only used by the Assessor; it is not for students. Assessors check to see if all aspects of the evaluation have been met. Assessors mark each evaluation method separately: EX: Written paper (50%); Interview (50%). Pass mark for written paper is 30%. Pass mark for interview is 30%. Pass mark for the course is 60%.

19 RPL Tools devEloped So far, we have developed RPL tools for the following college programs: Early Childcare Education Teacher Assistant We are now working on our Office Administration Programs.
