baleines baleines grises: longent la côte depuis les zones de nourrissage en Alaska en été ( où elles filtrent la vase alluvionnaire ou glaciaire , se nourrissent de copépodes, filtrent avec leurs fanons les laminaires pour avaler les invertébrés ) jusqu’au golfe de Cortez , lieu de reproduction en hiver; évolue dans la zone des 50 m c’est à dire au dessus du thermocline - filtration du plancton au printemps; peuvent parcourir km en 1 an . - baleines à bosse: parcours semblable + Hawaii avalent par milliers harengs et sardines. - baleines bleues: 80 T jusqu’à 170 T fréquentent la baie de Monterey en été pour le krill. - rorquals: jusqu’à 80 T ; évoluent dans les profondeurs. - et plusieurs autres…
