In French, most adjectives agree in gender and number with the nouns they describe. Most adjctives form the feminine by adding a silent –e to the end of the masculine form, unless one is already there. Adding a silent final –s to the masculine and feminine forms gives you the plural forms of both. Julien est impatient Margot est impatiente Julien et Marc sont impatients. Margot et Lea sont impatientes French adjectives are usually placed after the noun they modify.

7 Please note! The adjective « marron », unlike most adjectives is INVARIABLE. That means its spelling DOES NOT CHANGE for gender or number. J’ai les yeux marron Elle a une robe marron

8 The adjective « châtain » is generally used only for hair color, and it’s a lighter shade than BRUN
Ex: Ma mère a les cheveux châtains The adjective  BRUN is only used only for hair color, never for brown eyes Ex: Elle a les cheveux bruns et les yeux marron.

To describe size… Use the adjectives « grand » for tall « petit » for small « de taille moyenne » for average height
