5 Oui! There are actually MANY past tenses, but we’re going to focus on PC & Imparfait.

6 So what’s the difference? Passé Composé is used in different situations that the Imparfait

7 Passé Composé COMPLETED one time action in the past

9 Exemples Il était une fois, il y avait un château dans le bois Nous allions à la plage chaque été Je parlais au téléphone quand ma mère est retournée chez nous Ils avaient peur Il était 10h du soir
