2 Use FLASH! with any level I put a variety of topics in here so you can see how to make a FLASH! with different levels of learners.

3 For the FLASH! sections, you would use 8-10 slides. Under the “Transitions” Tab, set the “Advance Slide” at about 6 seconds. Or use a clicker.

4 The first set of FLASH! Pictures are Either / Or sentences (reflexives in passé composé). Teacher reads both choices, then class answers.

5 Je me suis amusé? / Je me suis fâché?

6 Tu t’es bronzé? / Tu t’es marié?

7 Elle s’est lavée? / Elle s’est réveillée?

8 Nous nous sommes dépêchés? Nous nous sommes levés?

9 Vous vous êtes cassé le bras? Vous vous êtes cassé le nez?

10 Ils se sont rasés? / Ils se sont cachés?

11 The next set of FLASH! pictures are Either / Or reflexive verbs in the negative passé composé

15 The next set of FLASH! pictures are “guided” short answer, to practice the formation of reflexives in the passé composé.

20 The next set of slides give the students one minute to talk about the picture in the passé composé, with images that would evoke reflexive verbs.

30 Vocab Practice The next set of slides shows ways to practice vocabulary. This could also be used with verbs or grammatical structures.

31 Vocab Practice On the next slide are 16 pictures of food. 1. The Teacher says the vocab word and calls on a student to give the # for that image. 2. Then, the students work in partners, doing the same thing. 3. Finally, the teacher gives the # and calls on a student to give the vocab word.

33 Memory Game There were 16 pictures on the previous slide. How many can you write, in French?? Work alone or with a partner.

35 What’s Missing? The next set of slides are for practicing vocabulary and a grammatical structure. French 1 students are practicing how to say “There aren’t any…” with “de” and Classroom Objects.
