They can have 3 minutes to think and talk to a partner but I would suggest they don’t write things down. They could check in the vocab books but speak from memory when they contribute.

Pour pratiquer In groups of 3 decide to represent a scenario in which one of you is ‘more’ or ‘less’ something than another. The 3rd person has to be the ‘most’ of that thing. A simple example could be to arrange yourselves in height order and have the 3 people say: Je suis grande Je suis plus grande que __________ (person 1’s name) Je suis le/la plus grand/e. ‘théâtre physique’ was something I used last year with the lowest set as part of a cross-curricular project with a drama ITT. The techniques really worked to ‘fix’ the learning in their memories and really engaged them actively. It’s always nice when you can ‘borrow’ concepts and terminology from another subject, especially one that for most pupils has positive associations like drama. You have 6 minutes to decide on your ‘freeze frame’ scenario and practise your sentences. Then each group will perform their to the rest of the group.
