10 Mon petit boulot Pour mon petit boulot, je travaille le samedi et le dimanche dans un restaurant à Rochester. D’habitude, je suis dans la cuisine où je fais la vaisselle, mais quand il y a du monde dans le restaurant, je travaille comme serveur. Je préfère le travail de serveur parce qu’on rencontre des gens intéressants, et je gagne plus d’argent à cause des pourboires. Ma journée typique commence à onze heures du matin. Quand j’arrive au restaurant, je dresse les tables. Puis je vais dans la cuisine où je commence à faire la vaisselle. Le restaurant ouvre à midi et reste ouvert jusqu’à dix ou onze heures du soir. Bien que le restaurant soit ouvert l’après-midi, on n’a pas beaucoup de clients entre trois heures et six heures et je peux sortir de la cuisine pour me reposer un peu. Le soir, je reste au travail jusqu’à dix heures quand je rentre chez moi. Le travail n’est pas bien payé, mais je suis si crevé le soir que je n’ai pas envie de sortir avec mes copains et donc je peux mettre l’argent de côté pour m’acheter une voiture à l’avenir. Je n’ai pas envie de travailler dans un restaurant pour le reste de ma vie. Après avoir passé mes A-levels, je voudrais aller à l’université pour étudier le journalisme. J’aimerais bien habiter aux États-unis pour faire des reportages pour la télévision anglaise car les différences entre la culture américaine et la culture anglaise m’intéressent beaucoup. Nous avons pas mal de touristes américains qui viennent dans le restaurant, et ils discutent souvent le sens de l’histoire que nous avons ici à Rochester. This is the article for the next 8 slides.
