Develop their ability to retrieve and re-use previously learnt language: Check whether they know a word or phrase by asking them in French, “Comment dit-on…..en français ? Classroom routine Use the phrase ‘il/elle est où’ to ask where something (or someone is) This will introduce passively the idea that il and elle are used both for people and things Use the phrase ‘le/la/les voilà’ to point out where something is when asked.
