Why ADP communicates with residents?
From a regulatory obligation… …To an opportunity: building a trust-based relationship So now why does ADPcommunicate with local residents? At first we did it because it’s a regulatory obligation for ADP But we discover that it’s in fact a major opportunity and that it could lead to a win-win situation

ADP’s regulatory obligations (annexe 1 du décret 2005-828 du 20 juillet 2005 – cahier des charges)
Article 49: Public information on environmental impacts set up at CDG and Orly a place for information and discussion on environmental issues of airports and air transportation including an area dedicated to air traffic management Article 50: Relations with neighbors communicate with residents on the environmental and economic impacts of airports examine requests for information and complaints from residents not under the competence of the DGAC Article 51: Relations with local authorities communicate with communities on environmental and economic impacts of airports This is quite a dense slide. That’s legal stuff! ADP’s obligations stem from the Contract document signed between ADP and the French governement when ADP became a private company in 2005 The contract states several obligations for ADP: To create a place where local residents could be welcomed and informed To give information on airport activity and impacts both to local residents and local authorities And to answer complaints not directly linked to air traffic organization (which is the reponsibility of the Air Transport Ministry) That is what ADP is requested to do. And that’s why in the first place we created the « maison de l’environnement » one for CDG and one for Orly. And you’ll see that somehow we are going much further to create a trust-based relationship with local authorities and local residents. Because at the end of the day, my mission is to ensure the development of Paris-CDG and Paris-Le Bourget airports. And without trust, this development would never happen.
