La Tour Eiffel Built in 1889 for the 100 years of the revolution by Mr. Gustave Eiffel. It took 2 years to build it. The Eiffel tower is 324 meters high (over 1000 feet).

Quelques Français célèbres… The emperor Napoléon sold Louisiana to the Americans in 1803.  Paul Gauguin lived in the French Colony of Tahiti. Tahiti was a great inspiration to Gauguin and, in 1898, he painted “Quand te maries-tu ?” 

Auguste Renoir painted “Le Bal du Moulin Galette” in 1876.  “Les Danseuses Bleues” were painted by Edgar Degas in 1890.  Jean-François Millet painted “Les Glaneuses” in 1857.
