Once complete, they should all choose a gift that they would like to ask Santa for. Ask them to write their gift on one side of a piece of paper and draw a picture on the other.

Asseyez-vous en cercle… Sit in a a circle. The game here is like the minister’s cat whereby one person would start off by saying what they would like for Christmas and the next person repeats this and then adds their own item on.

The first hyperlink on the left takes you to one of many sites with an address in France for sending letters to Santa. The second on the right takes you to PereNoel.com which has a wide range of Christmas games and activities. You can email Santa here in French and he will email the pupils back. Alternatively, there is also a dedication section which allows pupils to fill in their email address and they get a Joyeux Noel message sent to them from Santa.

In French, all words are either Masculine or Feminine. This used to be the same for Old English and Scots … It took around 300 years for us to stop using this system and it died out in the 1400s!
