There are deux ways that an adjectif is different en francais from en anglais. First, it FOLLOWS the noun is describes… Le stylo bleu. (The pen BLUE) Lenfante blonde. (The girl child BLONDE) Les profs intelligents. (The teachers SMART) Sounds funny en anglais…!
In addition to FOLLOWING the noun, they MUST also… AGREE with the noun! What does this mean? The adjective AGREES in GENDER and NUMBER with the noun it describes REGULAR ADJECTIVES… FEMININE add an E to the end of the adjective PLURIEL add a S to the end. FEMININE et PLURIEL add an ES to the end.
Thus… if a noun is… MASCULINE the adjective is also masculine… Le garçon est petit. FEMININE the adjective MUST be feminine. La fille est petit e. PLURAL the adjective is plural. Les garçons sont petit s. FEMININE et PLURAL the adj MUST be feminine and plural. Les filles sont petit es. Nothing is added ADD « e » ADD « s » ADD « es »

The original form of an adjective is the MASCULINE, SINGLUAR form. (ie: if you look an adjective up in the dictionary, you find the masculine, singular form). ALL adjectives MUST AGREE (MATCH) with… the GENDER (masculine or feminine) NUMBER (singluar or plural) of the noun it describes.
La calculatrice / bleu Les filles/ joli Nous / intelligent Les garçons/ amusant Létudiante/ français La calculatrice est bleue.
