Bourgogne est place en l’est-central au France. La capitale de la région est Dijon. Il est trés boisé et il a beaucoup des collines. Le Canal de Bourgogne est un attraction touristique de la région, et aussi le fleuve Yonne. Tu peux aller montgolfière. Des spécialitiés sont des vins et du fromage.
The name Burgundy comes from the an ancient Germanic group of people called Burgundians, who settled in the area in early Middle-ages. Up until the 18 th century, Burgundy was not even a region of France. It was known as a Dukedom, which was run by a Duke.
Burgundy is home to the French Formula 1 Grand Prix 18 golf courses Burgundy has a natural underground that attracts spelunkers (potholers) and speleonauts (underwater cavers) There are many lakes to do activities Camel-back riding Hot air ballooning
Tourist attractions: ◦Burgundy Canal ◦Morvan Mountains ◦Yonne River ◦Les Hospices de Beaune a mediaeval hospital that remained in use until the 20th century. Today it is a museum. ◦Dijon (capital city) ◦Site of Cluny once the largest chuch in Chrisendom. ◦Church of St Philibert, Tournus one of the oldest churches in France (early 11th century)
Culture and traditions are centered around the region’s wine production. The architectural heritage is also very important in the region. Many old churches and cathedrals surround the area and influence the culture.
