In this slideshow…  I am trying to get you to think critically about what verbs we use in sentences.  It is important to look for two things in the sentence when conjugating: 1.The subject (a name, a pronoun) 2.The tense of the verb (so the right ending goes on the verb)  It’s VERY important to memorize the endings of –ER, - IR, and –RE verbs – but even more important to know how to use them!!  Let’s look at some sentences together.

Les verbes en -ER 1.Je regarde la télé. 2.Tu écoutes de la musique. 3.Il parle au téléphone. 4.Nous aimons la pizza. 5.Vous magasinez au centre commercial. 6.Elles jouent au basketball. 7.**Nous mangeons de la pizza.** JOUER Jejoue Tujoues Il/Elle/On/Quijoue Nousjouons Vousjouez Ils/Ellesjouent

Les verbes en -IR 1.Je grandis rapidment chaque été. 2.Tu choisis un bon film. 3.Mon ami finit ses devoirs avant qu’il va au cinéma. 4.Lise, Juan, Luc, et moi choisissons un jeu vidéo. 5.Vous ne finissez pas les devoirs. 6.Les chiens obéissent à leurs maîtres.
