STEP 1 Bring an object you really like or which is important to you and hide it in your bag.
STEP 2 Give the class 3 clues about it For example, its shape (its round, its rectangular …), its colour, its size (its quite small, its tiny…), where you can buy it, where or when you can use it, etc. Dont make it too obvious, try to keep up the suspense!
STEP 3 The class ask Yes-No questions to find out what your object is. Show your object.
STEP 4 Tell about it! (1min - 2min) Say what you do or did with it, tell stories about it: « I bought it in…, My parents gave it to me for my birthday, etc »,,say why it is special to you : « its important for me because…, I selected this object because… », etc
Organization One pupil every Monday (beginning of the lesson) About 5 minutes This work will be marked by the teacher and 2 pupils selected as jury members (cf criteria)
Evaluation /20 Respect du sujet (clues, show and tell, questions) / 3 Correction grammaticale /3 Correction lexicale /2 Correction phonologique / 3 Aisance à loral (pas de note, regarde lauditoire, parle assez fort…) /3 Spécificité de loral (gap fillers, hésitations, débit…) /3 Prise en compte de linteractivité (interagir, questions…) /3 »
Gap fillers A la place du « euh……. » bien français, les anglais utilisent dautres mots que lon appelle des « gap fillers ». Well… Er…, Mmm You see… What I mean… What Im trying to say is that… Laisser un blanc
Interactivité Cest ta capacité à échanger avec les autres en anglais et de manière naturelle et fluide. Pense donc à ne jamais parler en français ( repeat please, sorry I dont understand, can you explain? ), utilise les gestes. Pense aussi quand tu feras ta présentation à aider les élèves à comprendre peut être certains mots que tu auras cherchés. Et pense aux petits mots qui aident à sonner anglais. ( so, okay, lets start, next question, etc)
