Direct Object Pronouns

Direct Object in General – an object or person that receives the action in a sentence. I am eating an apple. Direct Object Pronoun – Replaces a Direct Object for more concise language. (it or them in English) I am eating it.

Examples with OBJECTS Tu manges le boeuf? Je le mange. Tu manges la pizza? Je la mange. Tu aimes le bœuf? Je l’aime. Tu aimes les tomates?Je les aime. To make it negative, put ne...pas around the DOP and the conjugated verb: Je ne le mange pas. Je ne l’aime pas.
