His Life Born on July 31, 1901 Attended classes at Ecole des Beaux-Arts for two years then travels to Paris then proceeds to continue his education through isolation. Becomes devoted to painting In 1924 he ceases to paint for 8 years because of doubts in the value of culture. He struggles with his artwork for many years due to constant struggles to keep the family vineyard going. In 1942 he devotes his life to art and refuses to quit for any reason.
