Past participle forms: (for Regular Verbs)  -er verbs: drop –er from infinitive, add –é  ex. regarder  regardé  -ir verbs: drop –ir from infinitive, add –i  ex. finir  fini  -re verbs: drop –re from infinitive, add –u  ex. attendre  attendu

Let’s conjugate “to sing” in the passé composé: (p.c.) Chanter j’ai chanténous avons chanté tu as chantévous avez chanté ilils elle a chanté ont chanté onelles Aux. Verb P.P.

Translation of P.C.: ex. “j’ai chanté :” I sang, I have sung, I did sing Remember: When one verb is conjugated, that verb acts as the ‘true’ verb.
