Commands are a part of our everyday life. Commands are everywhere! Go! Read! Think! Raise your hand!

Commands The command form of a verb is also known as the “imperative”. In English the is dropped (deleted) from a statement statement to form the imperative. It is formed the same way in French. Estiell e presentations

Did you notice? The command form for “tu” with –er verbs is the same as the regular il/elle/on form of the verb. That is, the final “s” of the “tu” form is dropped. couteTu é É. This only happens with the “tu” commands of “-er” verbs. ! Estiell e presentations

To make a command negative, just sandwich the verb with “ne” (n’) and “pas” as usual. N’écrivez pas! Examples: Ne regardez pas! N’attendons pas! Ne parle pas! Estiell e presentations
