Topics: Holidays Means of transport Free time activities At the café Revision guidelines and planning: Timed revision Choose what you’re going to revise and time yourself for 25 minutes, then have a 5 minute break. You will be more productive in this 25 minute period. Then do another 25 minutes and so on. Make sure you don’t do anything else other than revise in this time: NO DISTRACTIONS!! Go Public Create a practical, realistic and detailed revision timetable and post it up somewhere so that everyone can see it. Letting other people know about your plans lightens the load and then it’s not just down to you to motivate yourself. Switch off! Unplug or turn off your internet connection as it’s too tempting to surf the web and turn off your mobile as well (one distraction too many). Revisit Remember: you need to REGULARLY recall things you’ve learnt in order to commit them to memory. When you are sure of a topic, revisit it every few days for a minute or so to be able to do this. LESSON TIME Use our revision lessons wisely and let me know what topics you’re shaky on or unsure about. Traffic lighting Use the Assessment for Learning traffic lighting sheet that we are doing in class to identify topics you are comfortable with and those need to revise the most. TIME Allocate longer revision times for subjects and topics you find harder and don’t waste time revising the topics you’re confident on. It may make you feel good, but it isn’t a good use of time. USE apps For learning vocab, try apps like (you have to join, but it’s free) and or to make word clouds of your vocab.

2 Grammar: Verbs: Conjugation of the following verbs:
Tenses: - perfect (passé composé) - present -futur proche (near future) This means you will need to be able to use all the verbs above (and more) in all three tenses. MAKE SURE YOU KNOW AT LEAST ONE PERSON SINGULAR (e.g. ‘je’) AND ONE PERSON PLURAL (e.g. ‘nous’) OF EACH IN EACH TENSE (examples on next page). You will also need to know your MRS VAN DE TRAMP verbs and their past participles. Using the correct form of du, de la and des; au, à la and aux. Knowing how to talk about going TO countries (en, au, aux) and nationalities (anglais/anglaise; italien/italienne; allemand/allemande) Giving opinions: j’aime, mais je préfère / je déteste / je pense que... = I think that… / à mon avis = in my opinion When to use the imperfect tense with être (c’était fantastique! / il faisait chaud) when talking about events that happened in the past over a period of time.
